About Us

The history of our Company began with purchase of the Holyoake Heating business in 1992 and renamed it Scott Sheetmetal & Heating. The nature of the buiness revolved around manufacturing sheetmetal products and installing gas heating systems.
During the next 12 years, we expanded the manufacturing capabilities, the range of heating options and moved into the mechanical services field. During this period, our original 7 staff grew progressively to 34. We also opened retail stores in both New Plymouth and Auckland’s Botany Downs.
The following 3 years provided me the opportunity to lay solid foundations for the future and to concentrate on sheetmetal, mechanical services and heating systems. In order to concentrate on this, both showrooms were sold and some installation and servicing areas were rationalised and then early last year we re branded the company to Rivet. The 35 staff here at Rivet today really are a great team.
So what do we do and who do we do it for?
Our clients are cool people, hot people, trendy people, new home people, renovating people, trades people, DIY people and blokes and of course the ladies.
They want us to fabricate, cut, design, fold, weld, polish, heat, cool, ventilate, install and smile!
